Leicester set to make £20m Michael Keane bid but Manchester United and Chelsea also eye Burnley defender

Leicester City are expected to launch a £20million bid to prise Michael Keane from Burnley in the January transfer window, but may have competition from Chelsea.

Keane, who has linked up with England this week, was the subject of two firm offers from Claudio Ranieri in the summer and the Italian is eager to try again once trading resumes.

Burnley rejected a £14m approach from Leicester in July and offered Keane a new four-year contract that would have made the centre back one of the top earners at Turf Moor on around £30,000 per week.

But the 23-year-old declined the fresh terms and with only 18 months left on his current deal Burnley are thought to be prepared to listen to significant offers.
