Leicester are preparing to enter the summer bidding for Middlesbrough's Ben Gibson as the club look to provide younger competition for Wes Morgan and Robert Huth.
Gibson, 24, has enjoyed a fine season at the Riverside despite Boro's slide into relegation trouble and has been scouted extensively by the Premier League's elite.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal have all been linked with a move for Gibson but Leicester are ready to make a concerted effort to gain his signature.
Middlesbrough rate Gibson at £30million with the centre-back having earned a call-up to Gareth Southgate's last England squad and with four years to run on a contract penned last summer.
