Leicester ambassador Alan Birchenall will be back to watch his club in action for the first time since suffering a heart attack when Stoke visit the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
Birchenall, who has for years introduced teams before kick-off, was struck down by a cardiac arrest while attending an awards ceremony in January and his voice has been missed at the ground.
It is expected that Birchenall, a hugely popular figure known as ‘The Birch’ at the club, will take up a seat in the directors’ box rather than return to his customary role by the touchline as he recovers to full health.
