Christian Fuchs suffered a freak eye injury when a training pole flicked into his face.
The Leicester left-back is a doubt for Saturday's trip to Huddersfield after the incident, described as 'nasty' by manager Craig Shakespeare.
Fuchs is seeing a specialist to assess the slight cut sustained when the top of the pole went into his eye socket during a drill on Tuesday.
Ben Chilwell would be expected to come in to replace the Austrian international if he is deemed unfit.
