Leicester's billionaire owner, who ruthlessly sacked Premier League-winning manager Claudio Ranieri, is turning his attention to horse racing.
Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has ambitions of seeing one of his horses run at Royal Ascot in June and has sent two prospects to trainer Andrew Balding's Kingsclere yard.
The Thai, a keen polo player who made his fortune through duty-free shops, did his homework on the most suitable training establishment by sending Leicester's director of football Jon Rudkin to investigate the options.

Rudkin turned up at Kingsclere without notice but was nevertheless shown around the historic stables by Balding's wife Anna-Lisa, and Vichai's horses were then entrusted to the yard.
