Leicester City captain Wes Morgan set to miss Champions League quarter final against Atletico Madrid due to back injury

Wes Morgan has been ruled out of Leicester City’s trip to Everton on Sunday and looks certain to miss the Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid too.

As revealed by Sportsmail, the club captain is still struggling to overcome his back injury and Craig Shakespeare is not inclined to risk him in Spain on Wednesday.

Morgan’s absence will be a significant blow for Leicester, the 33-year-old having played 88 consecutive Premier League games before this spell out, although Yohan Benalouane has done well in stepping up.
