Leicester City’s summer signing Vicente Iborra will miss the Premier League opener against Arsenal with a groin injury, Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare has confirmed.
The Spanish midfielder, a £12.75million arrival from Sevilla, has been sent for a scan after suffering the setback in training this week.
He will therefore miss Friday night’s trip to the Emirates Stadium, as the Foxes kick off their Premier League campaign against the Gunners.
Iborra's absence, expected to be between one and two weeks, has forced Shakespeare into a change of plans but he feels he has enough strength in depth to deal with it, despite Danny Drinkwater also being out.
