Leicester City 2-0 Sevilla (3-2 agg): Morgan and Albrighton fire Foxes to Champions League quarter-finals

Craig Shakespeare may share the same name as one of England’s greatest ever playwrights, but even the Bard could not have come up with the plot of Leicester City’s title win last season.

And after their floundering start to the first half of this campaign, it appears another fairytale is being written by Jamie Vardy and company.

A 2-0 win at home to Sevilla secured the Foxes’ place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, with the two-legged tie won 3-2 on aggregate.

Captain Wes Morgan and Marc Albrighton scored the goals, but the real protagonist of Leicester’s glorious tale was Kasper Schmeichel, who pulled off a string of wonderful saves and saved Stephen N’Zonzi’s penalty to keep his side in control.
