Craig Shakespeare has agreed terms on a three-year contract to become Leicester City’s permanent manager.
The Leicester board have shown faith in the former assistant after he steered the club to safety and the Champions League quarter-finals.
Shakespeare held talks with club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and his son, vice-chairman Aiyawatt, while on a post-season trip to south France and the finer terms have been confirmed in the fortnight since.
The 53-year-old was said to be treated extremely warmly by the Thai businessmen while in Nice and Monaco and many at the club expected an announcement sooner or later.
