Leicester ace Riyad Mahrez goes back to his roots as he plays football barefoot in the streets of his father's rural hometown village in Algeria

He may have won the PFA Player of the Year award after the 2015-16 Premier League season, but title winner and Barcelona target Riyad Mahrez hasn't forgotten where it all began.

The Leicester City star has been making the most of the summer break away from football by visiting his homeland Algeria, in order to catch up with friends and family.

And now incredible footage has surfaced of the Foxes winger rolling back the years and playing barefoot football in the streets of the rural village of Beni-Snous, a small commune in the north west of the country.
