Leicester 2-1 Monchengladbach: Jamie Vardy nets brace but Foxes win is overshadowed by injury to new signing Kelechi Iheanacho

Leicester rounded off their pre-season preparations with an impressive win over Borussia Monchengladbach, although the victory was overshadowed by an injury to new signing Kelechi Iheanacho.

Eden Hazard's younger brother, Thorgan, handed the German club an early lead with a well-struck shot from the edge of the box but two goals from Jamie Vardy secured Craig Shakespeare's side a deserved victory at the King Power Stadium.

Iheanacho was brought off the bench to make his first appearance for the Foxes since joining the club in a £25million move from Manchester City.

And the Nigeria international made an immediate impact - unselfishly opting to set up Vardy for an easy finish, despite having the opportunity to notch his first goal for his new club.
