Kasper Schmeichel steps up his recovery as Leicester goalkeeper seeks speedy return from surgery

Kasper Schmeichel is doing all he can to return to action for Leicester in double quick time as he steps up his recovery from a hernia injury.

The Foxes goalkeeper pulled up after making a clearance in the 2-1 win over Swansea in the second-half on Saturday, forcing the long-standing problem to flare up and he was replaced by summer signing Ron-Robert Zieler.

Showing his commitment to the cause, the 29-year-old has been working hard at the gym, as he targets the away fixture to Liverpool on September 10th.

Following his surgery, the title-winning shot-stopper has posted regular updates of his progress on social media over the past few days, as he works on his core with a number of exercises , which include stretching out on the gym ball and single-leg step ups on to the bench.
