Leicester striker Jamie Vardy will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after his wrongful dismissal claim was rejected, the Football Association has announced.
Vardy was sent off for a two-footed challenge on Mame Biram Diouf during Leicester's 2-2 draw against Stoke on Saturday.
But the club sought to appeal the verdict, hoping that he would avoid a three-match suspension.
Replays suggested Vardy was knocked off balance by Glen Johnson just before making the tackle on Diouf, but the FA have decided that Vardy was not wrongfully sent off.
