Jamie Vardy will make his long-awaited Leicester return against Burnley in the Premier League on Tuesday, with Brendan Rodgers admitting his side have missed the striker’s leadership.
Leicester have failed to win a league game in the two months since Vardy suffered a hamstring problem.
‘It is great news for us,’ the manager said. ‘To have that level of mentality as well as the ability, is very important for any squad. That makes you stronger.’
Rodgers said the striker, who has scored 11 goals this season, has been ‘champing at the bit’ to return.
