Gareth Southgate will speak to Jamie Vardy about the antics which saw Samir Nasri sent off in midweek against Leicester in the Champions League, though he will not condemn the England striker for gamesmanship.
Vardy flinched dramatically when Nasri inclined his head towards him and made contact in an aggressive confrontation and Southgate said that the Sevilla played was tricked into reacting by Vardy.
Yet though he says gamesmanship doesn't come naturally to him, Southgate regards what Vardy did as within the bounds of what is acceptable and though he says he won't encourage it, he warned that England will sometimes have to be streetwise to win games.
