Danny Simpson blasts ex for not getting his daughter to call him on his 30th birthday

Leicester City defender Danny Simpson hit out at his ex-girlfriend online claiming she has stopped their daughter from speaking to him on his birthday.

The footballer, who turned 30 yesterday, took to Twitter to say that he was denied the chance to speak to five-year-old Skye Lorena all day by her mother Stephanie Ward.

Miss Ward responded angrily to the allegations and called him 'bitter'.

The public row comes after the £35,000-a-week star was convicted of assaulting Miss Ward in his £420,000 five-bedroom house in upmarket Worsley, Manchester.
