Craig Shakespeare will hold talks with Leicester’s owners after Saturday’s game against Hull to discuss the managerial job.
The caretaker boss has already spoken to vice-chiarman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha and director of football Jon Rudkin in the wake of Monday’s 3-1 victory over Liverpool but his remit was only extended to the next Premier League encounter.
Leicester will fly away to a warm-weather training camp abroad on Sunday, returning on Wednesday, and Shakespeare expects a meeting once back in England.
Leicester have spoken to potential candidates, including Roy Hodgson and Guus Hiddink, but Shakespeare is in pole position to keep the role until the end of the season.
