Claudio Ranieri has urged ‘desperate’ Leicester City to follow Vincent van Gogh and produce their best under pressure.
The Premier League champions’ title defence has faltered against a backdrop of one point out of 24 away from home, the second worst in the top flight behind Burnley, and they are at Stoke City on Saturday.
By contrast, Leicester boasted the best away record in the Premier League last season with 39 of their 81 points coming on the road.
But Ranieri, 65, pointed to tragic artist van Gogh, whose finest work came in the last two years of his life before he committed suicide at the age of 37 in 1890.
