Tottenham legend Teddy Sheringham says he would 'break the bank' to appoint Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers as their next manager following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho was sacked by Spurs earlier this month, with Ryan Mason taking charge as caretaker until the end of the season.
Julian Nagelsmann was the club's first choice to succeed Mourinho but it was confirmed on Tuesday that he will leave RB Leipzig this summer to join Bayern Munich.
Rodgers is on the Spurs shortlist along with Ajax boss Erik ten Hag - who is the frontrunner - but Sheringham has urged his former side to go all out for the former.
