'A disgrace to football!' - Fans react as Leicester star Jamie Vardy finishes eighth in Ballon d'Or

Jamie Vardy was named the eighth best player in the world on Monday evening, as Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2016 Ballon d'Or.

The Leicester striker finished one place behind his Foxes teammate Riyad Mahrez, at the end of the year in which Claudio Ranieri's men won the Premier League title - completing one of greatest sporting miracles in history.

The 29-year-old earned more votes than a number of illustious players, with other Premier League players Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba behind him in the top 20 rankings.

And a lot of fans are annoyed at Vardy finishing so high up the list - despite the fact he enjoyed a glorious year.
