His advanced age, by football standards, isn’t getting in the way of Raiders safety Charles Woodson.
The 39-year-old Woodson was named the AFC’s Defensive Player of the Month on Thursday, the fifth time he’s captured the award and the first for a Raider since 2007.
In three games this month, Woodson tied for the NFL lead with three interceptions and his four picks on the year also is tied for the NFL lead. He picked off Chicago’s Jay Cutler late in that game to set up a go-ahead field goal in an eventual loss and also had two interceptions of Denver’s Peyton Manning.
