ALAMEDA — Raiders retiring legend Charles Woodson, upcoming star Khalil Mack and fullback Marcel Reece were named to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday.
It’s the first time since 2011 the Raiders will send multiple players to the NFL’s annual all-star game. Reece has been the team’s lone selection the past three years.
The three selections are the Raiders most since sending four in 2011, although three of those were special teamers (kicker Sebastian Janikowski, punter Shane Lechler and long snapper Jon Condo). The Raiders haven’t had this many position players since sending five in 2002.
It’s Woodson’s ninth career selection and the game, assuming he plays, will be the last action of his 18 year NFL career.
