The Las Vegas Raiders brought back a familiar name to both the organization and the new coaching staff.
The team announced Tuesday morning that they have signed quarterback Nathan Peterman. To make room for him, veteran wide receiver Keelan Doss was waived/injured. He will spend the season on the injured reserve if he clears waivers, which is likely.
Peterman, entering his eighth NFL season, was cut by the New Orleans Saints earlier this month. Peterman, 30, was with the Raiders from 2018-21 as he was a favorite of former coach Jon Gruden. He appeared in two games with the Raiders and threw five passes.
