Watch: Su’a Cravens celebrates being traded from Washington to Denver with The Little Mermaid

In the 2016 draft, few players were more intriguing than USC safety Su’a Cravens . The 6-1, 226 pounder was a phenomenal athletic talent, but he was a tweener. Was he a safety? A linebacker? Other?

It was Washington that took a chance on him at the 53rd overall pick in the second round. He appeared in 11 games as a rookie, playing both middle linebacker and safety.

Then, just a week before the start of the 2017 season, Cravens abruptly announced he was retiring. Team president Bruce Allen convinced him to hold off on making his decision permanent and place him on the reserve/left squad list and Cravens didn’t play a down that season.
