OAKLAND — New Raiders’ tight end Jared Cook spent part of Monday afternoon at the International Community School in Oakland, teaming with UnitedHealthcare to upgrade the school’s physical education supplies and other aspects of the school’s playground.
UnitedHealthcare gave a $10,000 grant to Cook’s foundation, Dreambuilders, and ICS received new basketballs, new rims for playground basketball hoops, new umbrellas for outdoor picnic tables, a re-painted playground and other physical education accessories.
Several hundred kids sat on pavement listening to Cook and representatives from Playworks, UnitedHealthcare and the school.
