There was a quadruple helping of Bay Area News Group staffers up in Napa today, so I’m going to hit you with all of the practice details.
It didn’t take long for quarterback Derek Carr and rookie tight end Clive Walford to connect. On just the second play of team drills, Carr rolled out and hit Walford for a short pass that he then turned into a first down.
That was it in terms of connections between the two during the full 11-on-11, but Carr also hit Walford on a nice streaking deep route during 7-on-7 work.
