OAKLAND — The wait continues. If the Raiders play another season in Oakland, which appears very likely, fans won’t know until next week at the earliest.
The Coliseum stadium authority board had prepared for a Friday vote a 2019 lease with the Raiders, but as of Thursday morning it did not issue a 24-hour notice of an emergency meeting, as required under state law. That means any consideration of a deal will not come to the board until Tuesday, or later.
Sources familiar with the negotiations said attorneys for the city of Oakland and Alameda County, which jointly own the stadium, have signed off on terms of a one-year agreement with an option to extend another year, although it apparently did not come in time to call a Friday morning meeting.
