With the help of his rookie wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders were able to piece together a late touchdown drive that would be enough to defeat the Detroit Lions 31-24.
Carr completed 20 of his 31 pass attempts for 289-yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Renfrow caught six passes for 54-yards, but he was not only Raiders rookie to have a big game. Running back Josh Jacob continues his successful rookie season with 120 yards on the ground along with two touchdowns.
Carr highlighted the team’s young players in his postgame press conference.
