The Raiders announced three transactions Monday regarding players who are not ready to practice at the outset of training camp.
Rookie seventh-round draft pick Vadal Alexander (guard) will open on the non-football injury list with an undisclosed condition, while veteran running back Roy Helu Jr. and undrafted free agent defensive end Greg Townsend Jr. will begin on the physically unable to perform list.
All three players will work with the athletic training staff before being cleared to practice and count toward the active roster.Helu reportedly had surgery on both hips in the off-season to improve flexibility after struggling to remain healthy in 2015.
