Last week the Oakland Raiders made a roster move on special teams to bring in kick return specialist Trindon Holliday, bringing in the veteran to replace seventh round draft pick Andre Debose who tore his Achilles during OTAs and will be out for the 2015 season. A move that grabbed minor headlines, but also came with many projecting that Holliday might not make the roster after bouncing around with three different teams last year.

On Monday the details of Holliday’s contract confirmed his status as a player who will be on the fringes of making the 53 man roster entering training camp as the kick returner received a deal that gives little indication that the Raiders will be making any sort commitment to the veteran return specialist being a lock to make the team come the end of the preseason.
