Much maligned running back Trent Richardson saw a heap of criticism poured on him as the Oakland Raiders began their training camp in Napa last weekend with the former third overall pick on the Non-Football Illness (NFI) list. Allowing for reports about his 50% chance of making the team to take the forefront while Michael Dyer drew headlines for impressive play as an undrafted free agent signing.

Richardson’s absence came to an end on Thursday morning as the running back finally returned to the field lighter and most importantly back in the fold in the battle for the third running back spot on the Raiders depth chart.
