Tom Brady has been performing a balancing act all season long.
Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports to serve as their lead color commentator in May. However, matters were complicated when his bid for minority ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders was approved in October.
Since then, Brady has been heavily restricted in his broadcasting duties, largely to prevent him from giving the Raiders a competitive advantage. Playing both roles simultaneously has turned the future Hall of Famer into an unwilling lightning rod of controversy.
The situation has reached a fever pitch this week, due to Brady’s assignment of the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders game on Saturday.
