SEATTLE — The only Super Bowl MVP the Seahawks have ever had walked off the plane Wednesday afternoon, hoping to gives the fans here and back in Oakland a fuller look at himself.
Malcolm Smith, performance in Super Bowl XLVIII aside, was a part-time player in Seattle, starting 16 games in four seasons. He now is a starting outside linebacker for the Raiders. He is excited for Thursday night’s preseason finale against the Seahawks, both for him and for former Seattle assistant and now Oakland defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr.
“We’ve been under (Pete Carroll’s) wing a long time,” Smith said.
