NFL owners remain sequestered in a conference room here in Houston after getting final reports on proposed Los Angeles area stadium deals in Carson and Inglewood.
Presenting for the Raiders and San Diego Chargers Carson project was Disney CEO Bob Iger, who would head the project if it moves forward.
As momentum has built toward a compromise pairing of the Chargers and St. Louis Rams in Los Angeles, Chargers owner Dean Spanos and those in his circle appear more ready to fight for Carson over Inglewood than to keep the Raiders as partners in the deal.
When cornered by reporters last night, Spanos said he wouldn’t speculate on a partnership with the Rams.
