Source: Tuck to have surgery for torn pectoral

The Oakland Raiders are expected to lose defensive end Justin Tuck for the rest of the season.

A league source confirmed that Tuck is expected to have surgery soon for a torn pectoral muscle and be put on injured reserve, ending his season. The Raiders, currently in their bye week, are 2-3 and don't play again until Oct. 25 at San Diego Chargers.

Tuck was injured in the fourth quarter of a 16-10 home loss to Denver on Sunday. Oakland coach Jack Del Rio suggested Wednesday that Tuck would be out for an extended time when he said Tuck's MRI results were "not good.
