Eddie Vanderdoes’s time with the Raiders appears to have come to an end. The former third round pick has been notified he is being released according to a league source.
Once an elite high school recruit out of the Sacramento area, Vanderdoes struggled with injuries while at UCLA and those injuries continued after the Raiders made him their pick in the third round of the 2017 draft.
The injury at UCLA caused Vanderdoes to gain a considerable amount of weight. He got the weight issues under control with the Raiders and appeared in all 16 games with 13 starts as a rookie.
