The Raiders took some time finding their new strength and conditioning coach. Tom Shaw was let go during the 2018 season for what head coach Jon Gruden called a “personal matter,” and had his assistants finish out the campaign and assist the Senior Bowl’s practice week.
The Raiders have selected A.J. Neibel to lead the strength and conditioning program, a source confirmed on Sunday.
ESPN was first to report the news.
Neibel spent the past two seasons as Jacksonville’s athletic performance specialist and physical therapy assistant. He was with the Atlanta Falcons in several capacities before that.
