A definition of a legend?
Someone who inspires passion more than a year after his death.
That’s what happened Friday with Ken Stabler, who died in July of 2015 and was elected posthumously - and far too belatedly - to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
On Twitter, his daughter, Kendra Stabler Moyes informed fans that no posthumous inductees - including her father - are honored with a Hall of Fame ring or a yellow jacket. She said that even when the family offered to pay for the cherished mementos, they were turned down by the Hall.
