The seniors at Redwood High School didn’t want jerseys, or signed footballs, or even a video message.
Nope, these kids wanted something much smaller – but in their eyes equally as important – they just wanted a retweet from the Oakland Raiders starting quarterback, Derek Carr.
If Carr delivered, the group of students would all get an A on their class final, something which at this point in the school year is probably even more valuable than an autograph or two.
Jesus Gallardo (jgallardo_15) posted the tweet the morning of May 30 with his request, showing the gentlemen’s agreement that was in place.
