Raiders linebacker Sio Moore undoubtedly heard what coach Jack Del Rio said Wednesday when he declared the former starting weakside linebacker was “competing to be a role player.”
Moore, who had missed most of training camp before his return Wednesday, wasn’t interested in addressing Del Rio’s take.
“I don’t think I need to validate that with ya’ll,” Moore said. “If that’s what he said, that’s what he said. I do what I’ve got to do.”
Moore started 22 games over the past two years before his season was cut short by a significant hip injury that required surgery last season that kept him out of most of the offseason program.
