This Friday was supposed be exactly a week before the Raiders’ first preseason game in their new Allegiant Stadium.
But that milestone in Las Vegas Raiders’ history was erased when the NFL canceled the entire preseason because of the coronavirus pandemic several weeks ago.
Now, though, Friday will represent a legitimate historical day for the Las Vegas Raiders. The Las Vegas Review Journal reported that the team will hold a practice at Allegiant Stadium, marking the first live event in stadium history. Country music star Garth Brooks was scheduled to open the stadium on Saturday, but it was postponed to February 2021.
