On Saturday, the Raiders announced that they placed safety Jeff Heath on the Reserve/Injured List and signed defensive end Chris Smith to the active roster from the practice squad.
Heath has appeared in 12 games for the Raiders this season, making only four starts. On the year, he’s racked up 32 tackles with three interceptions, which leads the Raiders. He has also added three passes defended as well. In Week 10, Heath was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
Moving onto Smith, he was signed this past August as a free agent after spending time with the Browns in 2019.
