The Raiders 2019 draft was just plan odd.
It was supposed to be a franchise-altering draft because the team had three first-round draft picks after trades of Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper.
Yet, the Raiders’ whiffed on two of those picks, defensive end Clelin Ferrell and safety Johnathan Abram. The other, running back Josh Jacobs, was a good pick, but he’s no longer with the team along with Ferrell and Abram.
That Raiders draft class, though, wasn’t a total loss. The Jon Gruden-Mike Mayock tandem did land defensive end Maxx Crosby with the No. 106 overall pick, in the fourth round.
