Recently, Las Vegas Raiders’ defensive end Carl Nassib said he has received nothing about love and support from his teammates since he came out as gay in June. Nassib is the first active NFL player who is openly gay.
The fact that Nassib is getting support is heartwarming to his friend and former Raiders’ teammate, defensive tackle Maurice Hurst. Now with the San Francisco 49ers after he was released this offseason by the Raiders, Hurst told SB Nation’s Outsports he is an ally of the LGBTQ community and he would fully support a gay teammate and he is pleased Nassib is getting so much support in Las Vegas.
