While the Las Vegas Raiders lost 24-23 to the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, it’s still the preseason where the final score matters a lot less than the process of how the game unfolds. The Raiders did manage to jump out to a 20-7 halftime lead and head coach Antonio Pierce seemed to be content with his team’s performance.
“I thought we competed,” Pierce said after the contest. “Whenever a team runs the ball, that’s not good enough, obviously. But the effort all the way to the end, those guys were fighting and it came down to a field goal.
