ALAMEDA, Calif. – Technically, Ben Heeney is still listed atop the Oakland Raiders’ depth chart at middle linebacker. Realistically, and after so many struggles by not only Heeney but the entire defense, there may be some changes afoot.
As in rookie sixth-round pick Cory James potentially taking some snaps from Heeney in the Raiders’ game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
“I’m going to step up to the challenge and, hopefully, do good,” James said Tuesday. “I’m still learning, still need to get a little more comfortable with the formations and stuff like that.
