The chances of Oakland Raiders standout center Rodney Hudson playing Sunday at Detroit increased Thursday.
Hudson practiced on a limited basis. It was his first action since he suffered a sprained ankle Nov. 8 at Pittsburgh. Barring a setback, Hudson should have a chance to play against the Lions. Meanwhile, tight end Lee Smith, a premier run-blocker, didn’t practice for a second consecutive day because of a wrist injury. Starting cornerback DJ Hayden practiced fully Thursday after he was limited Wednesday by an ankle injury he played through against the Vikings.
