Thursday brought some good news for the Raiders -- they got starting center Rodney Hudson back on the practice field after he had missed last Sunday's game with a sprained ankle.
Hudson suffered the sprained ankle late in the team's week 9 game in Pittsburgh. Last week Tony Bergstrom stepped in and started at the center position in his place. Bergstrom was serviceable, though overall the Raiders offense did not play at the high level they had the three previous weeks.
Since the Raiders made him the highest paid center this offseason as a free agent, the 6-2, 300-pounder has been playing at a Pro Bowl level.
