Bruce Irvin, an outside linebacker with 22 sacks in four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, will sign with the Raiders when the new league year begins Wednesday, the NFL Network and ESPN reported.
Irvin would give the Raiders a bookend threat to go along with Khalil Mack and give the Raiders a productive first day of free agency. Ian Rapaport reported the news first Tuesday night during the open negotiating period, followed by Adam Schefter of ESPN.
At 6-foot-3, 260 pounds, Irvin played outside linebacker but was often sent at the quarterback. His position coach during the first three years of his career was Raiders defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr.
