Reports: Goldman Sachs leaving proposed Raiders stadium deal

Related Topics: Goldman Sachs, Sheldon Adelson

Goldman Sachs will not remain involved in the proposed Las Vegas stadium that would house the Raiders, according to multiple media reports.

The investment bank’s part in the project, according to the reports, was contingent on casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, who walked away from the project Monday.

Could this lead the Raiders to reconsider joining the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara? Tim Kawakami thinks so.

“Without Adelson, there isn’t a deal,” Fenno reported on Twitter late Monday morning. Vince Sapienza of Las Vegas TV station KVVU confirmed the news after reportedly speaking with Goldman Sachs representatives.
